Tomlinson Run Mitigation Bank is located within the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources’ Tomlinson Run State Park in Hancock County, West Virginia, within the Upper Ohio North watershed (HUC 05030101). The bank was approved by the USACE Pittsburgh District in December 2021 for a total potential of 7,504.05 stream credits. Credits are now available to offset unavoidable impacts to Waters of the United States occurring in the Upper Ohio North (HUC 05030101), Upper Ohio South (HUC 05030106), Middle Ohio North (HUC 05030201), Middle Ohio South (HUC 05030202), and the Little Kanawha (HUC 05030203) watersheds.

The bank’s mitigation plan includes the restoration of 7,891 linear feet of stream; planting of 8,906 indigenous trees, creation of forested wetlands adjacent to the stream to offset pollution and stream erosion; and aquatic and wildlife habitat improvements.
