Fox Branch Wetland Mitigation Bank (FBMB) is a 1,075-acre site located along the Hillsborough River in northwest Polk County, Florida. Fox Branch is situated within a network of conservation lands that connect the Hillsborough River Watershed with the Withlacoochee River Watershed and the Green Swamp.

The main vegetation communities within the bank site: freshwater marsh, hydric pine flatwoods, and wetland forested mixed. The mitigation plan includes hydrologic improvements including the installation of ditch blocks, low water crossings, and berm breaches, as well as upland and wetland enhancement and preservation.  The mitigation plan will improve the ecological and hydrologic functioning of the drained wetland systems and provide an ecosystem-level landscape support to facilitate wildlife movement through the Upper Hillsborough River corridor.

FBMB has been approved by the Southwest Florida Water Management District and the United States Army Corps of Engineers to offset freshwater forested and non-forested impacts within the Hillsborough River Drainage Basin to include portions of Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk Counties.
